It has engineered the new Multis 636 electric crane with lifting capacities of 6t with the main hook, and capacities of 3.5t with the fork. The chassis length is 3.3m and the chassis width is 1.73m.

Galizia’s stated goal was to provide a crane that was multi-purpose as both a pick and carry crane and an industrial telehandler.

Functioning as a pick and carry crane, the Multis 636 may be used to lift, move and position loads without outriggers. The main hook is attached to the head of the boom rather than on forks or front tool holder plates.

Picking up loads, Multis 636 is designed to move gradually and with high precision, Galizia said. It uses up to-date electronic controls with programmable microprocessors. A joystick operates the gradual and precise driving of the boom, permitting simultaneous movements.

The front wheel drive has been engineered to use two electric motors (twin motors), and may perform counter rotation through an electronic differential gear.

As a telehandler, the crane can employ main tools such as forks, fork sideshifters, buckets, operator platforms, winches, searcher hooks and jibs, the company said, while using an auto-leveling hydraulic system and front tool holder plates.

Galizia said it has innovated numerous unique features with this latest release, including improved steering. “Exclusive characteristics of Multis are its lowered boom, coupled with a front tool holder plate with horizontal cylinder, so as to allow wide view from the driving seat; access to the inside of vans or trucks, by both hook and forks; and support on four wheels, while steering like a three-wheel pick and carry crane, thanks to the coupling of the special rear steering bridge and the front two motor drive system.”

Galizia continued: “Multis is not a simple pick and carry crane, to which some accessories may be added, but a machine really born to be multipurpose.”
