German crane dealer Allkran Hellmich has opened a new crane repair and assembly hall in Riedstadt.

The 3,500 sqm hall will be used for the repair and maintenance of mobile cranes as well as for fitting HPC 40 truck-mounted crane uppers supplied by Sennebogen to commercial production chassis of Mercedes, MAN, Volvo or Iveco.

Founder and managing director Rene Hellmich said that his company was bucking the trend of economic downturn in Germany and growing his business, increasing the number of employees from 50 to 62.

Allkran Hellmich held a Crane Day at the new facility on 17 May, attended by more than 100 guests. On display, as well as various versions of the HPC 40, was a 70t telescopic truck-mounted Marchetti on a four-axle truck and a 12t capacity Marchetti Trio MG12.

The occasion also saw Rene Hellmich and Sennebogen managing director Erich Sennebogen Jr hand over an HPC 40 to the crane rental company Heintzelmann in Ludwigshafen. It is the third HPC 40 in Heintzelmann’s fleet.
