Sönke Jordt has recently used the crane to install structural components at the EUROline Logistik factory development in Gross Parin, north Germany. This has included lifting and placing frame, wall and roof units, with loads up to 3t in weight positioned at radii between 20m and 22m.

GSK55

The GSK55 has a maximum lifting capacity of 55t and a 43m main boom. An optional 8.7m/15m swingaway jib is available, giving a maximum tip height of 60m. The Grove GSK55 combines the superstructure of a Grove GMK3055 all terrain crane with a specially designed truck chassis that acts as a trailer.

The truck chassis on the GSK55 has its own 104kW engine to provide full power to all crane functions. It has a standard design so it does not need to be married to any particular brand of tractor. There are two axles on the tractor and three on the trailer, and the crane does not exceed 9t on any single axle when traveling with 11.6t of counterweight. Gross vehicle weight is under 41.8t, and the load per axle is well below the 12t maximum required in many markets. It has a turning circle of 3.5m over the rear and 8m over the jib.
