Demag Gottwald has opened a spare parts depot in Chile to service its mobile harbour cranes throughout Latin Amierca.
The Chile depot is Gottwald’s fourth international consignment warehouse along with ones already open in Belgium, USA and Singapore. Spare parts to be shipped are distributed either via these four stocks or the central spare part warehouse at the company’s headquarter in Düsseldorf, Germany.
‘The right management of spare parts, as well as short delivery times, are the key factors to provide trouble-free operation of mobile harbour cranes,’ said Siegfried Pifkowski, director of Gottwald’s after-sales services. ‘With our international service network we are capable of providing our customers with immediate technical support and spare parts at low costs. This saves our customers money and reduces crane downtime.’
Three more parts depots are planned in the next three months.
