Mannesmann Dematic Gottwald has supplied a breakdown crane to the Korean National Railroad.
The GS 150.05 H is fitted with a fixed boom and has a maximum capacity of 150t.
Using a new approach, the boom of the crane no longer has to be deposited on the match track while the crane is being transported in train formation. In addition, less time is needed to rig the crane on arrival at the site. This means the crane can be conveyed across the entire Korean rail network without limitations, Gottwald said.
The GS 150.05 H is the third breakdown crane supplied by German manufacturer Gottwald to the Korean National Railroad (KNR).
KNR has ordered a fourth breakdown crane from Gottwald, though this one is with a telescopic boom.
