The 50,000th Grove Crane rolled off the Shady Grove assembly line in Pennsylvania on 17 December.
Starting commercial crane manufacture in 1952, Grove shipped its 1,000th crane 13 years later, its 3,000th in 1968 and its 20,000th in 1979.
The 50,000th crane, a 60t capacity RT865B, was shipped to Grove distributor Head & Engquist Equipment in Louisiana.
