Hägglunds has developed a new range of hydraulic motors called Compact CB. The company says that it has built more power into a smaller and lighter package to improve the power to weight ratio. The motors offer maximum torque of up to 290,000Nm, maximum speeds up to 58min-1, and displacements form 15 litres to 52 litres per revolution. The CB can operate up to 350 bars continuously. It has an infinitely variable speed and can stop instantly, the manufacturer says.
Hägglunds’ Compact hydraulic motor is of the radial-piston type with a rotating cylinder block/hollow shaft and a stationary housing. The cylinder block is mounted in roller bearings in the housing.
