The new company will be called HAWE-Otelec S.A.S., and will bundle the businesses of both. The Germany-based company HAWE Hydraulik is a provider of hydraulic components and systems. The Otelec business was a French distributor of hydraulics.
This step will allow the company to provide more in-depth services and expand the key strategic market in France. The two merging companies supplement each other ideally both from a product portfolio side as well as their sales activities are concerned, HAWE said.
In the future, HAWE-Otelec will be able to offer the full-range of customer-specific and innovative system solutions for hydraulics of mobile and industrial applications, it said. The new company will be based in Evry near Paris.
HAWE Otelec S.A.S. will generate sales of approximately 10m Euro with a staff of 28 employees. Former managing director of HAWE France, Pierre Fabro, is managing director of the new company. Didier Barrault, the long-serving managing director of Otelec and Koppen & Lethem France, will become the technical director for the new company.
