Contractor Kier Scotland has assembled tower cranes on its nine-storey Virgin Megaplex cinema project in Glasgow with the help of a 250t Mannesmann Dematic AC 250 mobile crane from Hewden Crane Hire.
As a road had to be closed for the operation, the crane had to be rigged on a Saturday night and the lifts completed by Monday morning.
To lift the 8t tower sections, Hewden Stuart set the AC 250 with 54m of main boom and a 20m fixed fly jib.
