The roller concept is designed to add flexibility to Hiab’s cranes. The crane can be moved up and down the trailer, to keep it as close to the load as possible. A heavy plate at the front of the Roller means it can even be positioned to help keep the load in place. When the full length of the trailer is needed for a delivery, the Roller can be detached from the truck altogether.
One of the first cranes to be sold in the UK with the Roller base is the Hiab XS 244R. The crane has a 24tm lifting capacity, and reaches out to 15m. The crane features Hiab’s HiPro control system and Space 5000 monitoring and safety system.
