It is capable of lifting 35t at a 3m radius, with a boom length between 9m and 24m
Hitachi Sumitomo said the UCX5350 features a number of components that ensure reliability and performance, including a winch drum with a reduction gear unit inside the drum; an Isuzu 6GB1T engine producing 110kW; a high torsion resistant box-type chassis frame; and Kessler axles from Germany.
Operator comfort has been factored into the design, Hitachi Sumitomo said, with a new cab offering a “functional layout of the control station”. This includes two joystick control levers and a tilting power steering wheel. The operator’s seat also reclines, to maximise visibility of lift operations.
Hitachi Sumitomo said it plans to sell 24 units a year through its Chinese subsidiary, Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.
