Højbjerg Maskinfabrik (HMF) claims to be the first loader crane manufacturer in the European Union to have obtained type approval for using its knuckle-boom cranes to lift personnel baskets high up.
“We would disappoint a group of customers if we were not able to deliver loaders which are allowed to both lift personnel baskets and work as ordinary loaders,” said HMF’s technical & development department manager, René Dahlkilde.
Loader cranes lifting personnel baskets must meet tighter regulations and offer greater protection against uncontrolled movements. For this reason, HMF has extended its electronic safety system, RCL 5200, with a large number of sensors and combined it with the Scanreco remote control.
