The US service truck manufacturer announced the appointment of Jim Hasty as its new VP of sales. Hasty comes to IMT from Wabash National Corporation, where he has VP of corporate marketing and strategic business development.

IMT president Steve Fairbanks said, “We are incredibly excited to have Jim join our IMT team. His depth of knowledge and experience will only serve to strengthen IMT’s commitment to the market, and particularly to our distributors and customers.”

Hasty will be responsible for leading the IMT sales team and helping drive business strategy for the company’s line of material-handling equipment and commercial vehicles. In addition, he will work to strengthen the IMT distributor network, customer service and after-market support efforts.

IMT’s ongoing development of its distribution network has included signing agreements with two new partners in North America: Adkins Truck Equipment in North Carolina, USA, and West Coast Machinery in British Columbia, Canada.

Adkins will sell products to customers in the Charlotte area. It has also opened a parts and service at its Charlotte base, allowing it to offer full sales and service to its customers. The company has provided custom built mechanics’ and lube truck bodies for nearly 30 years.

West Coast Machinery will, like Adkins, both supply telescopic cranes, mechanics trucks, lube trucks, compressors and articulating cranes less than 16 tm, and provide parts and service operations. It is based in Abbotsford, BC, and will serve customers across the province.
