The Oshkosh Corporation subsidiary says the smaller crane, the 40/275, provides a maximum lifting capacity of 19,026lbs (8,630kg), while the larger 50/345 model delivers a maximum lifting capacity of 22,840lbs (10,360kg). Both models can be equipped with up to eight hydraulic extensions for maximum horizontal reaches of 69 21.3m and 21.4m. The minimised dimensions and lower weight of these cranes allow for additional truck configuration possibilities and increased payload, the company said.

"IMT is dedicated to offering a spectrum of crane options to match unique customer needs," said John Field, product manager of material handling at IMT. "The new 40t and 50t articulating crane models meet customer demand for particular lift and reach capabilities, minimised space requirements, robust safety features, ease of maintenance and low maintenance costs."

The company also said that the cranes feature ultra-high tensile steel that provides lower weight, high lift capacity at long reaches and increased payload capabilities. The mounting space required has been reduced to 1148mm for the 40/275 model and 1198 mm for the 50/345 model, expanding truck configuration possibilities.

The cranes feature a dual power plus link arm system for long reaches and lifting in high positions with demanding equipment. Another feature of the 40/275 and 50/345 models is over-bending, which means the working area between the main boom and the outer boom is no less than 195°, offering greater flexibility when working through narrow passages and under overhead obstructions , the company said.
