With a 70-metre main boom and lifting capacities up to 30 percent higher than previous best values in its class, the AC 5.250-2 offers a winning combination of reach, power, and efficiency. The crane’s capabilities can be extended even further thanks to the optional main boom extension, adding up to 42 metres for an impressive total reach. All extensions from 5.8 to 36 metres are self-rigging – a key advantage for fast and safe setup.
António Teixeira and Edite Teixeira, Managing Directors of Interkran, emphasise the crane’s versatility and performance: “The AC 5.250-2 is an ideal fit for our operations. We were particularly impressed by its excellent lifting charts, self-rigging extension options, and the wide range of configurations it offers for transport. It’s a powerful and flexible solution for both our tower crane erection work and general construction projects throughout Switzerland.”
Thanks to its efficient design, the AC 5.250-2 can carry a three-sheave hook block for lifting loads of up to 67.3 tonnes or a 5.8-metre heavy-lift runner onboard while staying within a 12-tonne axle load configuration – minimising the need for additional transport. Meanwhile, smart technologies like IC‑1 Plus and Surround View support safe and efficient crane operation on site, while the start-stop function and eco mode contribute to more sustainable performance.
Michael Zieger, Sales Manager for Tadano, is pleased to support Interkran in further expanding its fleet: “We’re very grateful to Interkran for choosing the AC 5.250-2. The crane is engineered for exactly the kind of high-precision and high-performance jobs they’re known for. It’s always a pleasure to work with a customer that values advanced technology and practical solutions in equal measure.”
With this new addition, Interkran continues to set the standard for efficient and reliable lifting services in the Swiss market.
