ITC Bhadrachalam buys Epsilon

Every day great quantities of wood arrive at the plant as the basis for the production of paper and cardboard. The tree trunks mostly have a diameter of between 25 and 150 mm and a length of 1 to 2 metres. Over the years numerous methods have been tried out for efficiently unloading the tree trunks from the trucks and stacking them. None of the methods tried up to know, however, has been able to satisfy the managers responsible with regard to reliability and cost-efficiency for any length of time. In parallel with the expansion of production capacity it therefore became increasingly important to find a really efficient lifting solution.

This objective has now been achieved in the form of a product from EPSILON PALFINGER. In December 2006 an E 110L 97 was mounted on an Ashok Leyland Truck (16-ton GVW, 4×2 drive) by way of a test. After testing the responsible managers were impressed and signed the order for the first crane. Since then the E 110L with a hydraulic outreach of 9.7 m and a lifting moment of 11 mt has been in use every day for around 20 hours.
