The training centre is part of HASC's new workforce development initiative that places a high emphasis on hands-on learning for specific industry tasks.
Apart from multiple classrooms for theoretical sessions, the training centre will have indoor and outdoor spaces for practical training.
Trainees will have the ability to learn using training equipment and tools. The Houston training centre will be outfitted with overhead crane, mobile crane, mobile crane simulator, more than 50 live practice loads, gantry systems, all sling types and rigging hardware. The site uses ITI’s containerised rigging training tool.
