Hawkins has managed operations throughout the world and most recently on assignment in Iraq with AMECO (Fluor Global Services) as senior director of international operations.
There, his responsibilities included fleet asset management, estimating, logistics, procurement, international customer service, specialised operator training for lifting equipment and operations cost controls.
Hawkins was also involved with fleet management for new equipment purchases, fleet transfer of equipment worldwide and marketing of services.
His industry experience includes oil and gas pipeline, mining-metallurgy, oil refinery construction and asset management, petrochemical, mining fleet management programmes, weapons of mass destruction fleet support programmes, mega project fleet mobilisation, large concrete fleet management and co-generation powered projects.
Hawkins has 25 years experience in project start-up and staffing which includes special security type vehicles in Iraq.
Prior to working for AMECO he held various management positions with Bechtel and Peter Kiewit & Sons.
