Lisa Janis has taken over from her father Gary Lorenz as president of hydraulic gantry equipment manufacturer 4 Point Lift Systems.
Janis has worked for the company for 15 years, in various sales, marketing, service and administration roles.
Gary Lorenz was one of the founding fathers of the hydraulic gantry system and founded Lift Systems, based in Moline Illinois, after he broke away from Riggers Manufacturing in 1984. He wanted to build lifting systems with four jacks instead of two. Lorenz had established Riggers five years earlier with Ed Engler and Roger Johnston.
Lift Systems has since expanded its product offering to include mobile lifting equipment on rubber tyres, designed for machinery installation.
The promotion of Janis frees Lorenz to devote more time to his new role as president of the Specialised Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA). His year in office begins this month.
