Panzerbelt covers the trench that holds the electrical power supply cables for gantry cranes
This cable protection system incorporates a continuous semi-flexible belt, fabricated from rubber with inlaid steel reinforcement, which lies over a stainless steel channel cast in the quay. It is a patented system developed by Cavotec Specimas with the aim of providing an efficient and economic protection to power cables against damage and problems caused by the increasing cross traffic in ports and terminals. It is also a critical personnel safety element, as it avoids any possibility of direct contact with the cables and it provides a cover to an otherwise open trench in a busy working area.
Super Panzerbelt allows any heavy industrial vehicle to cross, manoeuvre and drive over the system even with a wider channel: ideal for applications on the land side where heavy traffic is the norm.
