DUTCH heavylift specialist Jumbo has formed a joint venture with China Shipping. The new company, China Shipping-Jumbo Heavy Lift Company, will market a range of transportation solutions to contractors working in China.
President of the Shanghai-based new company is China Shipping’s Captain Jinyu Liang, who will be assisted by Jumbo’s Jan Berkhout.
China Shipping has a diversified fleet of 341 ships. Jumbo has 11 purpose-built heavylift ships. It also has two super-heavylift J-1600 vessels (1,600t lift capacity) on order, for delivery next year.
