KLM’s new Set 6.5, at Saie 2006

The 6.5tm crane, with a maximum reach of 10.4m on its main boom configuration, can be fitted with a fly jib that increases its reach by 4m. Capacities range from 2,040kg at 2.52m to 450kg at 10.4m. The main boom is sold in a range of configurations, with a choice of two, three or four telescopic sections.

The company started production 18 months ago, and currently manufactures a range of 3tm, 4tm and 5tm loaders, alongside the new 6.5tm model. It is developing a 10tm model, which will go on sale in H1 2007. Over the last year, it has sold more than 350 cranes, well ahead of its initial target of 200 cranes per year. KLM currently has a reciprocal relationship with Terex Atlas. Under the terms of the deal, KLM distributes Terex Atlas cranes in Italy, while Terex Atlas distributes KLM cranes overseas. KLM also manufactures the 26.2, 36.2K and 48.2 that are sold under Terex Atlas branding.
