In a speech marking the handover, Kobelco Construction Machinery CEO Kazuhide Naraki noted the long term relationship between the two companies. MIC is one of Japan’s, and the world’s, biggest crane owners, with around 400 cranes. The company takes on heavy lift projects both locally and overseas, and has over more than 40 years bought around 500 cranes from Kobelco.

MIC CEO Eikichi Oyama received a symbolic key to the crane at Bauma. The new crane has a maximum capacity of 1,250t in superlift configuration. It can be configured with an 85m luffing jib on a 95m main boom.
