Ottola has been CFO of Finnish electronics manufacturing services firm Elcoteq SE since 2004. In his new position he will be responsible for business control, accounting, financing and investor relations. Rintamaki, who announced his departure as CFO in February 2007, will stay on in the short term, while Ottola settles into his new job. Ottola will start work with Konecranes on 20 August 2007.
Ottola will report to Konecranes CEO and president Pekka Lundmark. Lundmark said, “Teo Ottola has an excellent background with significant professional experience of finance and investor relations in a large international organisation consisting of several geographical regions and global business areas. This equips him perfectly for supporting Konecranes’ growth ambitions in the global market.”
