The delivery is part of a $37m (€30m) contract for the supply of 26 cranes to Russia’s largest steel-making enterprise.
The crane is the first of two identical models to be introduced to the plant this year. It was put into use at the turn of the year loading coal from the field to the train wagons. It is positioned on 1.5km long rails with five other coal-loading cranes.
The crane has a lifting height of 31.4m and a span of 67m. It can hoist at 60m per minute, with a grab capacity of 16.0m3. The plant will benefit from a 200m per minute trolley traversing speed, while the crane has a gantry travel speed capability of 28m per minute.
