The cranes will both be CXTD models of 10 and 40t capacities. The 40t crane will be a Goliath model with a 25m span, while the 10t crane is with overhead standard design.

The cranes will have Remox radio controls, and will be fitted with Konecranes renowned crane technology components including DynA inverter variable speed control on the main motions, girder and trolley platforms, ControlPro condition monitoring on each hoist, festoon cross cabling, hoist limit switches and motion limit switches on all crane motions.

The order, worth over £160,000 will be delivered in May and June this year.

Meanwhile, Konecranes UK has won the contract to supply a 30t SMD crane to ThyssenKrupp Stainless’s new warehouse in the West Midlands.

The crane will have a 27m span carrying a Konecranes SM Spacemaker winch trolley, specially designed to lift steel coils using the client’s lifting tongs, with a total weight up to 30t. The hoist design will allow for the weight of a special handling device.

The SMD crane is a showpiece of Konecranes’ inverter technology with DynAHoist and ESR (Extended Speed Range), DynAC travel and traverse, plus Remox radio control, condition monitoring, long travel conductors, girder and trolley platforms, festoon cables and duplicate pendant controls.

The order, worth in excess of £100,000, will be delivered this summer.
