KR Wind is a 50:50 joint venture of Mammoet and the Enggaard Group, and has crawler and mobile cranes to erect wind turbines.
Founder of BMT Niels Houlberg praised the sale. “Over the years, we have cooperated closely with KR Wind on several locations in Europe, and we have come to know the company as a serious and competent partner”, he said.
BMT continues to run as an independent company backed up by key support functions from KR Wind, but Houlberg will resign. BMT will be supervised by KR Wind president and CEO John Hartvig Larsen.
In April, KR Wind bought Canadian wind turbine contractor RJS Mechanical. KR Wind has offices in Denmark, Germany, the UK, Australia, the USA and Canada.
