Danish crane and access equipment rental house BMS A/S has acquired the crane rental company Krangaarden, also of Denmark.
BMS took ownership on 1 November from founder, owner and managing director Vagn Klose for an undisclosed sum.
Operation of Krangaarden will continue unchanged, said BMS managing director Søren Jansen, apart from it now being a 100% subsidiary of BMS. Fin Vandborg, formerly general manager of Krangaarden, is to stay on as managing director. He has been with the company for more than 15 years, many of those as deputy manager.
Krangaarden, started by the Klose family in 1961, has a fleet of 14 all-terrain cranes ranging in capacity from 50t to 400t, about 20 loader cranes and a fleet of lowbed trailers with capacities up to 700t.
