The crane, due to be delivered in February 2008, is the first complete Favco crane that Krøll has made, said production manager Henrik Nielsen, although it has manufactured a spare boom for the Favco 1510K.
Krøll is a subsidiary of Malaysia-based Favelle Favco.
“The crane is for delivery in Holland, so it makes sense. It is a very large crane to ship, and shipping costs are one side of it,” Nielsen said. “It’s a matter of location.”
He said that Krøll has no plans to start manufacturing Favco cranes. “We have enough work in our own product.” He said that current delivery times range from four months for standard cranes to longer periods on special cranes.
