“Safety is always more important than speed. Avoiding damage and accidents is the number one priority. Orlaco’s load-view system is essential for that,” crane driver Wim Goorman said.
With the system, the crane operator can see the hook and the load directly. “On the monitor in the cabin I can see pedestrians and the position of my load. I can also see everything I need to when I have to put the load on a roof or lift it over a building,” said Goorman.
The company says camera images enable operators to work faster because they are no longer dependent on instructions through the radio.
“It saves at least thirty minutes a day. The camera images are clear, even when zooming in, at dawn and when there is a strong wind”, Goorman said.
The crane driver can zoom in and out with two extra buttons on the joystick.
