French contractor: ETPO S.A has taken delivery of a 180t Kobelco CKE 1800 crawler crane. ETPO, which stands for Entreprise de Travaux de l’Ouest, specialises in ports, harbour and coastal engineering. It newest crane has been driven onto a 35m by 16m pontoon and has this month begun doing construction and reconstruction work on the quays of Nantes for the Independent Port Authorities of Nantes & St Nazaire. The CKE1800 is now the largest crane in ETPO’s fleet, overtaking its Manitowoc 4100W, and it will be used for a variety of applications including piling, clamshell and lifting jobs.
