
280 ECH’s climbing the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel
In its largest ever contract, worth HK$2.6bn ($334m), Hong Kong-based lead contractor Gammon has placed the four cranes to give access across the entire floor plan of the hotel. Each crane features a 40-50m jib with hook height of 44m, and will be climbed to give a final height of up to 170m. The 280 EC-Hs boast a lifting capacity of 2.8t at 37.5m and a 65kw, two fall, hoist with a lifting and lowering speed of 80m/min.

The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel
The resort is located on the Cotai Strip, connecting the islands of Taipa and Colane. Along with its 3,000 all suite bedrooms and extensive gaming facilities, the tower will include multiple restaurants, an 1,800 seat showroom, 15,000 seat arena and comprehensive conference and business facilities. The resort is focussed around a shopping mall and three 390ft long canals. It is scheduled to open in mid-2007.
