LIEBHERR Container Cranes of Killarney, Ireland has delivered a Panamax container crane to Marine Terminals Limited (MTL) at Dublin Port.
The crane has an outreach of 37.5m, a rail span of 30m and a backreach of 14m. The lifting height under spreader is 26.4m. Hoist speeds are infinitely variable between 60m/min and 130m/min.
Trolley Speed is 175m/min and gantry speed is 45m/min. The crane’s safe working load under spreader is 45t and 50t under hookbeam.
The crane includes Liebherr’s Win-scan crane management system and Digivert DC crane drive. A Bromma spreader which allows handling of 20ft/40ft containers was provided as part of the contract.
Liebherr was then awarded a further contract by MTL for the supply of four further container stacking cranes for delivery during the third and fourth quarters of 2002.
