The original version of the crane was launched at Intermat in 2003, and has sold 350 units.
As well as extending the boom length to 60m, the new design increases the crane’s capacities across the load chart. Liebherr says this is particularly so at steep positions, where capacities are as much as 30% higher. With the boom fully extended, the crane can lift 10.2t.
A pair of 7m lattice sections can be used to extend the hinge point for the crane’s 10.8–19m swing away job, for a maximum hook height of 91m and a maximum radius of 58m. The swing away jib can be fitted at an offset of 0°, 20° or 40°, or an optional hydraulic adjustment system can be used to luff under full load, up to 40°.
Fitted with 16.00 R 25 tyres, the four-axle crane measures 10.6m x 2.75m, and can turn within a radius of 8.3m. The 28.2t counterweight has a tailswing of 4.11m. Outriggers can be extended to 7m, or 5m for restricted sites.
