The new HS 825 HD Litronic embodies a universal machine concept that is unique for its size class, it says. Like its bigger brothers, this model, the most compact within Liebherr’s range of hydraulic duty cycle crawler cranes, is designed as a “heavy-duty crawler crane” to provide maximum productivity in even the most demanding of applications. This universality distinguishes the new HS 825 HD Litronic definitively from other machines in the 40-tonne class, which for the most part are designed for pure lifting work, according to Liebherr.

With its robust design, the HS 825 HD Litronic is made for tasks such as using a dragline bucket, clamshell, diaphragm-wall grab or casing oscillator, as well as straightforward lifting tasks.

With the standard telescopic undercarriage and crawler pads of 700 mm, the HS 825 HD Litronic has a transport width of 3m. The maximum transport weight is 37t without counterweight.

The HS 825 HD Litronic has a six-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine developing 180 kW / 245 hp. This unit features in the new generation of Liebherr diesel engines and is thus compliant with the new Stage 3 / Tier III noise and exhaust emissions regulations. For special heavy duty tasks Liebherr offers an equipment variant with an even more powerful engine (270 kW / 367 hp) as option.

The standard equipment of the new duty cycle crawler crane includes 16t free-fall winches with maintenance free multi-disc brakes. The HS 825 HD Litronic also features the proven Liebherr Litronic system as standard. This electronic system comprises all control and monitoring functions of the machine and is designed to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations and the rough heavy duty tasks common in the construction industry.

The HS 825 HD Litronic is equipped with proportional control which affords rapid work cycles and allows all movements to be carried out simultaneously.

The HS 825 HD Litronic is available with a self-erecting standard lattice boom up to 47 m in length.

An additional equipment option is a GSM modem that enables the transmission of operating and process data and online remote diagnosis on the machine.
