Liebherr-Werk Ehingen has opened a new crane repair centre at its factory in Germany.
This is the latest stage in Liebherr’s E50m programme of developing an international network of repair centres.
The repair shop at Ehingen is in a 128m long, 45m wide building that was made available once the vast new fabrication hall was completed last year which expandes the factory’s manufacturing capacity by 40%.
Liebherr, like most of its competitors, is keen to demonstrate its commitment to servicing its customers. Liebherr-Werk Ehingen has already extended its service centres in the Netherlands and Spain and it is building new facilities in Italy, France, Russia, the UK and the USA. The new USA facility, in Texas, will also be a base for its distributor Schiller and for sister company Liebherr-Werk Nenzing’s US operations.
