Fresh from launching its new LTM 1100/1 all-terrain crane at Intermat, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen has revealed that its plans for Bauma 2001 in Germany next April include a new 50t and a new 200t AT.

The three-axle LTM 1050/2, rated at 50t, updates Liebherr’s offering in this range. At 40m, the boom will be 2m longer than on the 1050/1 and it will have a stronger chart, the company says, but it will have a gross vehicle weight of 36t, including 8t of counterweight, making it road legal with an extra 1t of counterweight than the older model. The new machine will also feature such recent innovations as the new Liebherr cab and databus technology.

The six-axle 200t LTM 1200 will fill the gap between the 160t and the 300t ATs and will feature a 60m main boom.

It will compete directly with the new Demag AC 200 which was launched at Intermat last month.
