Mobile cranes, was another area in which Liebherr said they had recorded a better start at the trade show than ever before. By Wednesday, 55 cranes had been sold, to customers from North America, Great Britain and Russia.
Weldex, the Scottish based worldwide Crawler hire company placed an order with Liebherr for eleven new crawler cranes. The order was valued at over €20 million, a move that the German manufacturer said cemented the excellent working relationship between the two companies.
The Weldex order consists of three LTR1220 cranes, two LR1600, two LTR1100, two LTR1060 one LR1250 and a LR11000.
Klaus Huberle, product manager of crawler cranes at Liebherr works Ehingen, said "The Bauma show is a major opportunity for us to show customers and prospects the breadth and depth of the product portfolio we offer to the many different market sectors.
