Crane rental firm Gastel Zurawie has purchased four Liebherr mobile cranes to improve the number of lower to mid-range cranes available in its more than 50-strong mobile crane fleet.

Two 130t LTM 1130-5.1 mobile cranes, along with a 200t LTM 1200-5.1 and a 250t LTM 1250-6 were ordered by the Polish firm, all sporting the firm’s distinctive fire-red and black livery and ‘Herkules’ commercial name.

Gastel Zurawie intends to use the cranes for work on wind farms as well as to support its tower crane operations through assembly work.

These cranes will be the largest of nine Liebherr mobile cranes in the firm’s fleet, and will join a range of Terex and Liebherr mobile cranes already owned by Gastel Zurawie that range from 30t to 450t lifting capacities.

Liebherr believes that the presence of four Liebherr service centres in the country contributed significantly to Gastel Zurawie’s decision to go with Liebherr for its newest fleet additions.

The company also owns a range of heavy transport vehicles, 196 tower cranes and six crawler cranes.
