Liebherr Sunderland was awarded the prize for demonstrating significant growth in overseas earnings and commercial success. The company has seen overseas sales increase by more than 40% since 2005, with 85% of the machines produced at the Deptford site destined for foreign markets such as China, Singapore and South Korea.
Liebherr Sunderland manufacturers a range of crane types at the site, including ship cranes, port cranes, offshore cranes and mobile harbour cranes.
“We are delighted to receive this award,” said managing director Ralph Saelzer. “It is a great honour and one which we could not have achieved without the dedication of our skilled workforce.”
