Gulf Stevedoring has ordered three super post-panamax cranes from Liebherr Container Cranes for the new Jeddah North Container Terminal. The cranes have an outreach of 55m, far enough to handle vessels 21 containers wide. Capacity under spreader is 60t but they have a heavylift facility of 70t. They are equipped with centre spread twin lift spreaders.
Height under spreader is 38m, with a total hoisting range of 53.5m. Hoisting speeds are 60/150 m/min and maximum trolley speed is 240m/min.
The first crane is scheduled for delivery next month, with the other two following on early next year.
