The LEP1000 Portable Suspended Personnel Platform lowers personnel, in a man basket, at a 15ft radius from a pit wall 50 some feet. The system is self-contained, moveable throughout the facility with an overhead crane, no wider than 6ft (2m), and capable of being operated from the man basket.
The pedestal crane base is 6ft wide by 13ft long and has a maximum reach of 22ft 5in and a tip height of 27ft 5in. The crane has a 2,200 lb. (1t) capacity in all configurations and a maximum line pull, with a full drum, of 1,000 lbs.
The crane is equipped with a 5ft hydraulic power section, 3ft manual section and 3ft jib section, a boom which rotates 200 degrees; an Ingersoll Rand force 5 Man Rider Winch with 198ft of half-inch wire rope rated for 1,000 lbs., Eco Safe FR46 hydraulic oil, a 24 volt battery power electric motor with pump and a battery that can be recharged in a hazardous environment, an air-driven emergency hydraulic pump to operate the hydraulic system in case of complete electrical failure, both Manual and Digital Remote Controls plus other safety features. It will comply with both ASME B56.7 and OSHA 29CFR1926 regulations.
