Linden Comansa has added 4m of jib to all standard versions of its new 21 LC 660 flat top, launched two weeks ago on 1 July 2012.

The extended jib brings the maximum jib length up from 80m to 84m.

The four standard versions of the 21 LC 660 have 18, 24, 36 and 48t maximum lifting capacity.

With the 21 LC 660's capacities, Linden Comansa has designed the crane for large industrial, public works, mining and infrastructure projects.

The added 4m brings the jib length to longer than most similar cranes available for these applications, Linden Comansa said.

Linden Comansa explained that load moment and jib length are key characteristics achieved by this design, adding to its competitiveness among flat tops:

"At this moment, very few manufacturers can offer jib lengths longer than 80m in tower cranes with similar characteristics to the 21 LC 660, and even fewer have Flat-Top tower cranes with more than 360 tonne-meters."

Linden Comansa has engineered for versatility of use as users can assemble the 21 LC 660's jib sections for different lengths every 5m up to a jib length of 80m.

The manufacturer has provided a table of improved characteristics, shown here.
