Steve Cribbs, the crane operator said “I have made as many as twenty moves a day during the construction of this project. I’m lifting anything from forms to rebar to concrete blocks and I spend a lot of my time pouring concrete with the crane and bucket method. This includes pouring floor slabs, columns and beams. When I was hoisting the pallets with 4300lb (1.95t) of concrete blocks for the multilevel entranceway and guard house, I was working at a radius of between 90ft (25m) to 125ft (38m), going over 60ft (18m) in the air to the working scaffolding. I have a single piece 35ft (10m) jib set at a 2º offset. At one point I was working out at 126ft (38.4m) at a 45º boom angle.”
