Lloyds Equipment Group of the UK has changed its name to Lloyds British Group, in recognition of the market acceptance of the Lloyds British name.
Lloyds Equipment Group was created in 1999 when the management team, backed by venture capitalists, bought the equipment hire division of Lloyds British Testing from KCI Konecranes. The following year the new company bought the rest of the Lloyds business, including fabrication, installation and testing operations. This side of the business continued to be called Lloyds British. Now the whole group is held under the Lloyds British banner.
Also, managing director Ian White has become chief executive, Graham Osmond is now managing director hire & sales and Trevor Dale is managing director engineering services. Colin Naylor, associate director hire & sales, and Barry Mercer, associate director engineering services, join the board.
