The Cargomaster mobile materials handling system, manufactured by Wayne Engineering Corporation, is designed for the loading and unloading of cargo by a sole operator from, and to, ground level at any site even where there is no loading dock.
The system is based on the design of a bridge crane, Wayne says, and can be installed on a closed van body or a semi-trailer and operates along the full length of the truck, up to 16.5m (54ft). Several models are available, with rated capacities up to 3,600kg (8,000lb).
