Italian manufacturer Locatelli plans to present a new 20t-rated city class crane at Bauma in April.
The ATC 20 is designed for operations where space is limited and features the ‘nose down’ retracted boom position familiar on the Demag, Kobelco and Kato city cranes.
The six-section boom of the ATC 20 offers a maximum tip height of 34m. Both axles drive and steer, and the machine has a 176kW Iveco engine, hydrogas suspension, hydrostatic transmission and a new safe load indicator system.
Attachments including a side-stored extension, working platforms and forks are offered. The chassis is 6.365m overall and boom overhang is 300mm. Height is less than 3m and width is 2.3m.
“City cranes are the machines of the future,” export manager Maria Mortarino said.
Locatelli is also giving a Bauma debut to the GRIL 8125, a 12.5t telescopic mobile that doubles up as either a rough terrain or a telescopic handler. Features include continuous rotation, hydrostatic transmission, four wheel drive and steer, and a 20m boom in either three or four sections. Fly jib, working platform and forks are offered as attachments.
