The cranes are being used for a number of jobs in the development, including the installation of a roof canopy feature on the 105m-high Windsor Manor tower.

Two 16t 160 HC-L 8/16 Litronic luffing jib cranes have been working on Windsor Manor, operating with a final hook height of 145m at 15° job position and a radius of 55m. Both will carry 2t at the full radius, or 8.2t at 30m.

The cranes are lifting pre-cast panels used throughout the construction, weighing up to 6t. During erection of the roof canopy one of the cranes will be dismantled and the second will lift and position steel beams, again weighing up to 6t.

ASGC is using a 112 HC-L luffing jib crane on a second tower in the Bay Square development, where it is again lifting pre-cast panels used in the construction.

A further two 112 HC-L models and a 160 HC-L 8/16 Litronic are being used on the construction of a third tower.

Business Bay is intended to become the commercial hub of Dubai, covering an area of five million sq ft. Bay Square has been designed as a pedestrian-only zone within this, including a boutique hotel, residential towers and 11 mixed-use towers.
