Shown for the first time will be four models of mini-crawler cranes. Three models of the MC series will be present. The compact 3.1 US ton (2.8t) MC285C with a 28ft boom and 30in travel width for indoor use will be on display. Also exhibited will be the MC305C and MC405C. The MC305C has a 3.3 US ton capacity with a 41ft boom. The MC405C offers a boom length of 54ft, a capacity rating of 4.2 US ton, and pick and carry capability. All have diesel or diesel/electric power versions available, and remote control is standard. Confined space, limited access, and indoor or underground lifting is the strength of these machines, Maeda says.

The LC785, a 5.4 US ton capacity telescoping boom crawler will also be exhibited. With a 51ft boom and near zero tail swing, this model will prove valuable for customers needing a small, easily transported crawler crane. While the MC models have multi-position fold out outriggers, the LC model is similar to the popular mini-excavators, except equipped with a telescopic boom instead of a digging arm. A blade option for dirt moving will be offered in the near future.

All Maeda mini-cranes offer exceptional safety features including load moment limiter systems, anti-two block, and multiple warning and shutdown systems. All have undergone ASME B30.5 review, and offer EPA compliant engines.
