The project, located at Hackberry, Louisiana, will comprise three natural gas liquefaction trains with an approved LNG export capacity of 1.7bn cb ft a day. Mammoet will supply more than 70 cranes from 25-800t in capacity, a number of SMPTs, and expertise and assistance in constructing the terminal over the 42-month timescale.

Robert Roest, sales director for Louisiana at Mammoet, said: "We are very happy to work on one of the most important LNG export projects on the Gulf Coast. By contracting Mammoet as main supplier for the lifting and transport equipment, the project will save significant time due to central coordination that leads to optimisation of all engineered heavy lifting and transport activities."
